Gastroenterology case study, Developing proposition for an ulcerative colitis and Crohn's disease drug

1. BUSINESS OBJECTIVES

Our client developed a new drug for the treatment of ulcerative colitis (UC) and Crohn’s disease (CD) and relied on our expert market landscape research before the launch. The aim of this study was to assess the need for subcutaneously administered drugs for the treatment for ulcerative colitis and Crohn’s disease.

2. BAZIS AMERICAS SOLUTION

Our team conducted web-based interviews with gastroenterologists to learn about treatments use and preferences for UC and CD. We applied conjoint analysis to measure physicians’ preferred treatment choice for certain lines of advanced therapy for UC and CD.

3. CLIENT IMPACT

Based on the research findings, the client was able to develop a final value proposition for their product within a specified geographical zone. The project results showed that more detailed drug efficacy information is required in order to increase the prescription rate.
